The Great Bend Panther cross country teams competed Thursday at Buhler with the girls bringing home their third straight meet victory.
The Lady Panthers had a 2-3-4 finish to secure the team victory, defeating second place S.E. of Saline who is ranked #1 in Class 3A and host Buhler is ranked 4th in Class 4A. Great Bend is #6 in Class 5A.
Emilia Diaz led the Panthers with a second place finish followed by Marissa Boone and Diane Alvarez in third and fourth. Emma Loomis took eighth.
The boys were led again by Kaiden Esfeld who took third behind the defending state champions in class 3A and 4A.
Great Bend retruns to action on Saturday, September 25 in Wichita.
