Authorities release name of Kan. pilot injured in small plane crash

HARPER COUNTY —Federal officials investigating a small plane crash that occurred just after 7:30p.m. December 11, in Harper County released the name of the pilot as 60-year-old Tracy Copenhaver of Anthony, Kansas, according to the Harper County Sheriff's Office.

A single-engine Piper PA-24 piloted by Copenhaver struck power lines on approach to the Municipal Airport, 15 NW 20 Avenue, Anthony, Kansas, and crashed into a field, according to National Transportation Safety Board.

The pilot was the only person on board.  EMS transported him the to Patterson Health Center, according to Sheriff Tracy Chance, where he was treated and released.
