TOPEKA – Governor Laura Kelly held a press briefing Monday to discuss the rising COVID-19 case numbers in Kansas and the importance of wearing a mask to protect friends, family members and neighbors from the virus. She said the Kansas Department of Health recommends the state stay in Phase 3 of the Ad Astra reopening plan.
Kansas has set another record for its worst two-week spike in reported coronavirus cases since the pandemic began.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Kansas increased by 982 to a total of 16,901, the state health department reported Monday afternoon.
