The Great Bend Lady Panther Volleyball team's stay in the 5A State Tournament ended quickly Tuesday at Maize South. The Lady Mavericks swept the Panthers in three sets to advance to Saturday's 5A Final Four in Salina.
Maize South rolled past Great Bend winning 25-12, 25-11, 25-14 in improving to 29-6 on the season. Great Bend's season comes to an end with a record of 20-11.
It was the Lady Panthers first state tournament appearance since 2013.
