ROOKS COUNTY—One person died in a fire Thursday in Rooks County.
Early Thursday, fire crews were called to a house fire in Stockton, according to a social media report from the Rooks County Sheriff's Office. Search and Rescue located one fatality inside the home.
The exact cause of the fire is undetermined. The fire is believed to have originated inside the house and no foul play is suspected.
Kansas State Fire Marshall’s Office has been called to assist Stockton Fire and the Rooks County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.
The sheriff's office has not released the name of the victim.
