DUI and several drug charges follow traffic stop

On Feb. 25 at about 3:46 a.m., a Barton County Sheriff’s Office Deputy stopped a 2013 Chrysler 200 in the 5600 block of West 10th Street in Great Bend. The vehicle was stopped for speeding.

During the course of the traffic stop, Sheriff’s deputies determined the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol/or drugs. Deputies also located what is believed to be LSD, a substantial amount of methamphetamine and prescription drugs as well as paraphernalia during the course of the investigation.

Arrested at the scene was Andrew Decoudres, age 32 of Larned. He was booked on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possessions of a hallucinogenic substance with intent to distribute, possession of prescription drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, interference with law enforcement officer, DUI, as well as various other traffic charges.

Decoudres is being held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
