SHAWNEE COUNTY—Four people were injured in series of violent crimes in Topeka and police have made an arrest.
Just after noon on Wednesday, police responded to a reported stabbing in the 1600 block of SW Fillmore Street in Topeka, according to a media release from police. Upon arrival, officers located two individuals who had sustained injuries.
American Medical Response transported both to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Later Wednesday afternoon, officers responded to a reported stabbing in the 600 block of SW 3rd Street. Upon arrival, officers located an individual who had sustained non-life-threatening injuries. American Medical Response transported that individual to a local hospital for treatment.
A short time later, officers then responded to a reported aggravated battery in the 100 block of NW Fillmore Street at Ward-Meade Park. Upon arrival, officers located an
individual who had sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The individual was transported by private vehicle to a local hospital for treatment.
The same suspect, later identified as Adam J. Schwegman, 47, Topeka was detained for all these incidents. Police later arrested him on requested charges for each crime scene.

Requested Charges: Aggravated burglary; Dwelling for felony, theft, DV, or sexually motivated crime; Theft >$1500 from building; Aggravated endangering a child; Reckless situation to child <18
