Suspect held on $1 million dollar bond for murder of Kan. woman

SEDGWICK COUNTY —A man accused in the shooting death of a woman in Wichita last week made his first court appearance Wednesday.

 Larry Ingram, 42, Wichita was charged with 2nd degree murder and violation of a protection order, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.

Just after 12:30 a.m. Dec. 22, police were dispatched to a shooting call in the 7700 block of E. 32nd Street North in Wichita, according to Officer Kris Gupilan.

First responders located 23-year-old Deniq Ingram of Wichita with a gunshot wound to her upper torso area. She was transported to a local area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

The suspect, identified as Ingram, according to sheriff's booking records, was on the scene and taken into custody. He is being held on a one-million dollar bond, according to district attorney's office.

Police have not released details of the circumstances leading up to this homicide.
