DOUGLAS COUNTY – Investigators are asking anyone with additional evidence or information in the overnight shooting death of a 17-year-old Lawrence teen to come forward.
Just after 1a.m. Thursday, police were called to 2406 Alabama Street where they found 17-year-old Isaiah Neal with multiple gunshot wounds and began performing life-saving aid until paramedics with Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical arrived on scene.
At that point, additional officers began securing the scene as a number of witnesses and family members began to gather. Investigations personnel were called to the scene. LDCFM paramedics transported Neal to the hospital where he later died.
Police have not made an arrest or provided suspect details.
