Police ID 71-year-old bicyclist who died after Kansas crash

SEDGWICK COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before 6:30p.m.Wednesday in Wichita.

According to Wichita Police Lt. Aaron Moses, a bicycle ridden by 71-year-old Michael Espinoza of Wichita and a sedan were involved in a collision in the 5900 block of South Seneca.

EMS transported Espinoza to an area hospital where he died.  

Investigators are still gathering information to determine everything that led to this collision. No arrests have been made in this case. All involved parties remained on the scene and are cooperative with the investigation, according to Moses.

"As we are experiencing warmer weather, we are seeing more pedestrian and motorcycle activity. The Wichita Police Department would like to remind everyone to slow down and share the road responsibly to ensure everyone’s safety."
