BARBER COUNTY —It was very hot in Kansas Saturday. At 7p.m. Satuday the National Weather Service said Medicine Lodge reached 115 degrees.
The temperature made the Barber County community the hottest city in the contiguous United States.
he excessive heat will continue Sunday with heat indices approaching 110 degrees once again. A stray storm cannot be ruled out, especially west of Interstate 135, according to the National Weather Service.
