The Barton Community College Theatre Department will hold auditions by appointment only for its spring production of “Words and What We Do with Them,” a collection of six plays by David Ives. Virtual auditions will be held from noon to 3:30 p.m. via Zoom and in-person auditions from 4-9 p.m., on Jan. 23 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
All roles and technical positions will be cast. Anyone 16 and over is invited to audition and can be cast in more than one role. Those auditioning must contact Theatre Director Miller James at [email protected] or (620) 792-9205 to set up an appointment. Once an appointment is set up an email will be sent with reading materials to be performed during the audition.
Rehearsals will begin Jan. 25 and will run from 6-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Tickets can be purchased through bartonccc.booktix.com and an announcement will be made when tickets are available. Showings are as follows:
Showtimes for the production for in-person shows with masks and social distancing will be March 19 at 7:30 p.m., March 20 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and March 21 at 2 p.m.
