KANSAS CITY —The victim of a hit-and-run in Kansas City on Saturday has died.
Just before 10p.m. Saturday, a man got off a southbound KCATA bus, on the west side of Hardesty, just south of East 18th Street in Kansas City, according to Police Captain Jake Becchina.
The pedestrian attempted to cross Hardesty to the east but was struck by a dark colored SUV or van. The vehicle that struck the man left the scene, south on Hardesty and then west on 23rd Street.
EMS transported the man for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Police reported the man's death on Tuesday. The man's name has not been released.
