FORD COUNTY —A line of strong to severe thunderstorms rolled across Kansas Tuesday night and early Wednesday producing high winds, heavy rain and tornadoes, according to the National Weather Service.
Tornadoes were reported in rural areas of Wallace, Haskell and Ford counties. There are no injuries reported.
Pioneer Electric and Victory Electric are working to restore service in areas of southwest Kansas due to the storms.
Due to high winds and a semi being blown over, I-70 eastbound is shutdown between exit 70 to exit 76. Traffic is being routed to US 83 south to US 40, then back to I-70 eastbound at the 76 milepost for an unknown amount of time.
