At approximately 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, the Great Bend Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a structure fire in the 1000 block of SW 20 Road.&nbsp;

While en route, crews advised dispatch that this would be in the Pawnee Rock Fire Department's response area. Once on scene, crews found a fully involved 5th wheel camper with fire spreading to nearby tires, piles of lumber and grass. Crews were able to quickly stop the grass fire from spreading and begin extinguishment of the camper.&nbsp; With the fire extinguished, crews began overhaul looking for hidden fire. Pawnee Rock Fire Department arrived on scene and Great Bend Fire returned to Great Bend.

Great Bend Fire was assisted at the scene by Albert Fire Department and the Barton County Sheriff’s Office.&nbsp;
