COWLEY COUNTY —Winfield High School and Middle school were briefly locked down late Wednesday afternoon, according to a statement from USD 465.
Law enforcement authorities were on site and the dismissal was delayed. School busses were also going to run late. The students were in no direct danger and a "possible threat" was resolved, according to a statement just after 4p.m. from USD 465.
